Our Vision
To see people live in the freedom and purpose that Jesus has for our lives.
Our Mission
We are committed to bringing freedom and purpose to every area of life—spiritual, emotional, and physical—and extending this to our community, following the example of Jesus in Luke 4:18-19.
Our Story
Lifegate Church began in 1952 in Padstow, when a group of pioneers felt called to plant a church in Sydney’s west. Over the years, Lifegate grew into a thriving, contemporary church, focused on helping people live in the freedom and purpose that Jesus has for their lives.
In 2008, Nathan and Michelle Green became Lead Pastors, and in 2009, we sought God for direction. He led us to Luke 4:18-19, shaping our mission to bring hope, healing, and transformation through Jesus.
As Sydney expanded westward, we felt called to plant new churches where people needed the gospel. In 2016, we planned to launch a new congregation in Wattle Grove, but God opened an unexpected door. A retiring pastor in Prestons invited us to take over his small church, and in 2017, Lifegate Prestons was born. Under the leadership of Alex and Laura Lee, it has become a healthy, growing community.
Since 2019, we’ve been praying and preparing for our next church plant. In 2024, Lifegate Leppington launched, led by Andrew and Christie Lingley. This marks our third campus, and we believe it’s just the beginning.
With a vision for seven churches planted by 2038, we are committed to raising leaders, planting churches, and bringing Jesus to southwest Sydney.
The story isn’t finished—come be part of it!
